EVENTS: !!URBANE DC's FASHION SHOW & DEBUT PARTY!!

Attention all fashion followers, hip hop lovers, and party people! Urbane DC, promoters on Thursday nights for The Park in DC are debuting their newest venture! This Saturday they will host a beautiful nightlife experience at Café Asia in DC for the young and hip professionals!  

On April 30, 2011 at 9:00pm, Urbane DC invites DMV to 4All Fashion!  Special guest to include DC’s very own DJ Quicksilva and Jay-Z’s personal disc jockey, DJ Young Guru! 

This special event will incorporate an art collection exhibit and a runway fashion show, where High Fashion fuses with Good Music, a Sexy Atmosphere and Attractive People.  Guest will preview stunning art collections from local artist and fashion apparel from exceptional de-signers, with diverse styles ranging from Urban Wear to Haute Couture!  Guest will also enjoy specialty drinks and dance to great music provided by DJ Quicksilva and DJ Guru. 4All Fashion will leave guest with a memorable experience that will not be forgotten! The event will then transition into the late night party where DJ Guru will take center stage!

House of Kas Hosts Fashion Networking for Professionals

On Thursday April 21, 2011 The House of Kas hosted a fashion networking event at the National Harbor's Mcloones restaurant.  There were models, photographers, up and coming designers, stylist, fashion bloggers, fashion show coordinators and more!

It was a beautiful day and a fun filled event! This networking event will be held monthly and the House of Kas invites all professionals in the DC, MD and VA area to come out, network and be seen!

My RIY Interpretation: BFF's Bday!

This past Saturday, 4.16.11 my besties and I celebrated our BFF Jamie's bday!!!

We started the evening with dinner at SEI in DC on 7th & E street. SEI is the sister restaurant of OYA and is a beautiful and mod venue. The menue selection is nice, the prices are reasonable and they have a cute lounge/bar space.

We then ventured to Pure Lounge on 13th & U street for cocktails!

We ended the night at the always live NY ave venue owned by Taz, Bar 7!

 

The bday girl Jamie brought in her spring bday with popular colors this season. She wore an off white blazer, mocha mini skirt and coral & teal earrings!

Coral

 

 

Coral is this season’s hottest single color! Designers have been incorporating coral in many of their looks for both men and women this year! The color comes in various shades; coral, light coral, coral pink, coral red and dark coral according to Wikipedia. Coral looks beautiful on every skin tone and it’s complimentary color is Teal!

OMG I am sooo in love with Perry Ellis’ S/S 2011 collection! His entire line incorporated coral! From casual to resort to work wear, he made men look handsome in this color!

Even though it was back in 2009, Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins looked breathtaking in this coral Nicola Finetti gown.

Audrina Patridge looked fun and flirty in this peachy light-coral Amanda Uprichard Joan Dress! She completed the look with a pair of Ray Ban aviators, a white Chanel cross body bag and tan Prada platform wedges!

Rihanna looks awesome in coral! She brought in 2011 by hosting a party at Pure Nightclub in Vegas wearing a sexy Louise Goldin deep coral red and sheer paneled bodycon dress! 

And again Rihanna stepped out in a sexy coral cut out dress by Carven with her favorite patent leather  Louboutin heels!

A classic case of “Who Wore it Best! Tyra at the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and Kim Kardashian attending a CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) luncheon; both wearing a one shoulder coral Rachel Roy dress!

Sharon Stone, who never ages looked so pretty in this satin jersey coral  Catherine Malandrino dress!
